Movement that begins with attention rather than effort: noticing where the body is tight, where it is willing, and what it is asking for today. Mind, body, and breath in the same rhythm, at a pace you set. Nothing here asks you to arrive already strong, or already certain.
Odyssey Movement is private and small-group instruction in movement, yoga, and exercise, taught by Coach Alexander T. The subject is not a workout. The subject is the relationship a person has with their own body, and movement is the doorway to it.
Sessions are built around three things held in the same rhythm: the mind that notices, the body that moves, and the breath that carries both. Some days that looks like a slow, deliberate practice on the floor. Some days it looks like play. Every session ends with a body that feels more like a place to live, at ease and belonging to you.
Every session opens by noticing. What is tight, what is willing, what is asking for care today.
Range, strength, and balance built from where the body already is, never from where it is supposed to be.
Breath sets the pace. When it stays steady under effort, the effort becomes something you can keep. It is also the one part of the body's alarm a person can reach directly: slow the breath, and the rest of the system follows.
Private and small-group sessions for children and adults, in your home or a space near you. A fun, positive, and easy relationship with movement, built one session at a time.
Recess experiences and mobile movement sessions for schools, homeschool groups, and alternative learning programs: Coach Alexander comes to you, with everything a body needs to move well.
